We understand this can seem like sort of an inconvenient process, with people working on your steps throughout the day, what if you've got to get up and down? Well we are very accommodating and make this a stress free and no hassle experience! You'll be able to use the stairs at all times and we make sure to put up safety railing until the work is completed.
- We'll first start with a conversation, then meet with you on the job site. We'll discuss your idea's and start to design the look and style you want.
- Measurements will be taken and we'll provide you with a detailed quote going over scope of work and an estimated cost.
- Once we come to an agreement on both budget and design of your stairs, we'll start milling the product at our woodworking shop and have them ready for installation.
Start Installation
- We start by masking off the work area with plastic much like construction painters would, we like to keep our work clean and our work environment clean as well! Our team shows up with tarps and drop cloths to make sure we are safe and protecting all surrounding areas, especially your flooring.
- Next we'll start the demolition and tear out of previous stair system. No turning back now! Depending on the scope of the job at hand of course, this can get very messy. If you're opening up your steps because maybe you've had existing stem walls or pony walls that you'd like cut down, then that means there's drywall involved and you know how dirty drywall dust can be!
- Commence the woodworking! Assembling your stairs is definitely the fun part, you'll get to see this thing transform before your very eyes. Be sure to take before and after pictures!
Staining and Finish
- Our stain and finishing expert makes sure you've signed off on your color of choice by coming up with some mock up samples before applying stain on the actual wooden product.
- Our specialist then applies stain and sealer to the woodwork and finishes it off with a top protective clear coat to dial in your finish of choice. From a high gloss to a satin finish, we will make sure you will be astounded with the results.
- Spraying paint for anything being painted comes after the staining and finishing of the woodwork, this may be items like skirt boards, kickboards or risers that you want white.
Baluster Installation
- Installing your balusters are the final step in your home remodel, whether that be wooden spindles, wrought iron, glass or even stainless steel rods.
- If there's a special custom pattern for your iron, our specialist will work with you on the desired pattern and configuration of choice!
- All of our iron balusters are custom cut to fit, and we adhere them into your stair banister with epoxy making them extremely strong and stout.
